Agra Fort - Canon

Accordingly to Agra's government site, Agra Fort is a historical fort in the city of Agra in India. It was the main residence of the emperors of the Mughal Dynasty till 1638, when the capital was shifted from Agra to Delhi. The Agra fort is a UNESCO World Heritage site.It is about 2.5 km northwest of its more famous sister monument, the Taj Mahal. The fort can be more accurately described as a walled city.

I can say that this will be a slower build as it is a bit more detailed than my previous builds. It has over 200 hundred parts in 20 sheets along with 24 sheets of instructions.

In most of my builds, the base is built in the last construction steps, but this time I should start by building the entire base before building the actual structure of the building. Anxious to see the final result of the model.

Cheers,

Gregory

Canon models are really beautiful but instructions are a disaster!! Lots of guesswork but the outcome is very good.

I had to redo some pieces from the base and the outer wall. After this, I managed to finish the base. Now I will do the following:
  1. Build and glue on the top of the wall the battlements;
  2. Fold and glue the embrasures on the front of the wall;

For me, it will be the steps wich will take me the longest to finish, as the pieces repeats a lot. As soo as I finish this part, I will update the thread.
Cheers,

Gregory

Nicely done! A good decision I think to start with the base.

Phew!! I tought that I would never end... but after 3 days I finished this section; 68 pieces for the battlements and 38 pieces for the embrasures. The remaining 28 embrasures will be glued in the other structures, wich I will build next.

Cheers,

Gregory

After almost 3 more days, I finished the internal structures. Now there's just 6 more things to do:
  1. Build the small upper level of the base and glue it;
  2. Build the bridge wich will be on the front-left of the base;
  3. Join the halfs of the internal structues I've just finished together;
  4. Glue the entire structure to the base;
  5. Glue the bridge onto the base;
  6. And last but not least, build and glue the nameplate.

Cheers,

Gregory

I kinda finished, but didn't managed to glue the internal structure perfectly as I wanted, but I won't keep trying to fix as it can cause more trouble than help.

Next build will be Canon's Kaminarimon Gate of Senso-ji Temple.

Cheers,

Gregory.
