Malbork Castle

I'd like to present the model of Malbork Castle. It was very enjoyable to build this one. The Castle itself belonged to the Teutonic Order. Now, still intact, it attracts tourists from all over the world. It lies in the north region of Poland near Baltic Sea. Enjoy

Woah! talk about "pretty in pink". Seriously though - I like you build it looks great. Very nice diorama work too.

This model certainly has a lot of character. One of these days I will get around to building a castle or two. This one is very nicely built. Love the trees.

Thanks for sharing.

A very handsome castle, and some really nice modeling! The sponge "trees" add so much to the visual impact.

Doesn't look pink to me, looks like 'brick red", photographed under bright lighting.

Thanks for sharing the photos!

Thanks for the pictures - I assume this is the GPM kit - you have certainly done justice to a good kit.

My wife and I toured Poland a few years ago. We flew into Cracow and spent the next 10 days driving to Gdansk. The only problem was that GPM make kits of many of the places we visited - Including Wawel Castle and Sopot lighthouse.

Malbork is even more impressive in real life - It's the biggest brick built castle in Europe and was partly destroyed during the war, the country has done a great job in repairing it.

For all you who want to see the real building, there is a hotel in the converted stables just outside the gates and we found the Polish people very friendly, so in the words of the well known advert "Just do it" you won't regret it

Cheers
Mike
