Photos now show the spire has collapsed on the famous cathedral. Once a resonance is setup by the earthquake rumbling, not many structures with a simliar resonance can survive.

yep...this one was a lesser magnitude but way more violent...lots of buildings trashed this time round but very good to see how emergency services, Defence (there was a big ex about to kick off down there) and government have pulled it all together in less than 12 hours...PM and mayor are doing really well on the leadership front...

i talked to a girl that i am friends with there, and she said it looked like they got bombed, people still trapped in buildings :( hope they rescue as many as they can, the kiwis are some of the finest ppl around

I hope and pray that they come through ok...
I have several friends that I used to play WoW with that live in New Zealand, and I know a few folks that were with a computer support comany down there. Great looking build by the way, even if it is virtual. Perhaps you can do a few more builds, and just rotate them in and out of the china cabinet.
