Macross Double Build!

Well Onions22 has been kind enough to let me get a crack at his weathered repaint VF-1, However all he could send me is the first fighter mode page as the other 2 still need a little tweaking. Sooooooo since it doesnt really take that long to assemble the parts from page 1 I needed something else to fill some time. Well it seemed fitting to proceed with my veritech builds in numerical order (So i did the VF-25 out of order, sue me ;) ) amd having already built a VF-1 and a VF-4 the next available model is Sascha's VF-9. Some people *cough coughGetter1cough cough* think its butt-ugly but i kinda like it.

I also think the VF-9 is kinda ugly :rolleyes: (especially in batroid mode), but in fighter mode it looks pretty cool. Yours is looking awesome so far, you should consider sending pictures of your builds to that Sascha guy so he can post them in his gallery.

As for the VF-1, only one more page to go ;)

Hmmmm VF-9 Cutlass, ugly isn't a strong enough word. It's more like Fugly!!! The Fighter mode isn't all bad it's the other modes that turn my stomach :P

OK Onions sent me page 3 of the VF-1 so i did that and am once again as far as i can get until I get page 2 so i can finish it up. I have also been working on the bottom of the VF-9's fuselage.

great build SW.. maybe it wouldn't look so ugly if the wings were swept backwards instead of forwards just my 2 cents. i don't think anything can help with the other modes looking so ugly... but they said the same thing about the A-10 when it first rolled out looks ugly as heck but it sure gets the job done :)

The VF-1 is done with the exception of the canopy which has to wait until i get some more epoxy.

Nice pics, looks very clean unlike my last one :rolleyes:. I've just started building a Hikaru 1J, I'll post some pics later. Btw, what do you use that lighter for? :confused: (...to light cigarettes, duh!)

Very nice build, but I have to ask; How do you make the canopy like that?
