WOW! That is a very beautiful model. Nice job. Also, you did well capturing it with your camera. I just finished reading Walter Lord's book Incredible Victory about the battle of Midway.

excellant work. Is this the Butch Ohare plane or the Jimmy Thatch? Halinski has the same model (same author) and does one ace while Maly did the other. I can't remember which was which.

Another excellent model! I have the Halinski version, and, if as Ted says, it is the same model, I now have an idea of how it might turn out. Ted, I think the Halinski model is Thach's plane -- I seem to recall the cover describing Thach's three-kill sortie at Midway.

Beautiful, just beautiful.

Could you take a close up photo of the landing gear? It looks really complex in there.

Thanks

I am sorry but if I had that I would definitely be running around the room making airplane sounds and doing touch and goes!!

You do absolutely incredible work with these old Mały kits. The Wildcat was a wonderful airplane and your model is indistinguishable from a real airplane.

It's the mark of a true professional who ensures that all airframes are properly flight-tested...

Jimmy Thatch was F-1 and O'Hare was F-3. F-13 was a assigned to Noel Gayler at the battle of Coral Sea. F-13 was reassigned to Lt. junior grade Leonard prior to the battle of Midway - who had 3 confirms.
