Not having a job or a printer, I've been finding myself with a large amount of free time. So, to keep myself occupied, I've been drawing up models in Rhino.

I want to do an experiment though; I need somebody to volunteer to be my "alpha" builder. I'll draw up the model the best I can, then email this person the files. Their challenge is to print it and build it, then tell me what needs fixing.

As to the model to design, I'm gonna let you guys decide. I've lost all my previous designs and information, so I'm starting from scratch.

I've drawn up 3 completely different models, and you guys get to pick which one you want. I'm then gonna try and sell it on ecardmodels.

The choices are:

-Armstrong Whitworth FK-10 Quadriplane
-Unnamed WWII Junkers Ground attack fighter
-Burt Rutan's Quickie

I'll pick the most popular next saturday, and use this thread for the design and build thread.

I too seem to be a punching bag for life. When I went to the fortune teller, she just said "sorry" and gave me back my money. Anyway, I used to fly the H-3, and would gladly take a look at what you have done and try to finish up that project for you. I would leave you in charge of the final product and any give you all the files I develop off your previous work.

Other than the H-3, I was just thinking the other day of modeling the quickie. It's much simpler than the quadri-plane, so might appeal to more modelers.

Unfortunately, I lost all my work on the H-3. I don't even have the 3-views any more (Can't seem to find them on the net either )

So far I have 3 for the Quadriplane, 2 for the Quickie (I might do this one as a parallel design, I like Rutan stuff) and one from another thread for the Junkers.

BTW, I'm completely redrawing the Quadriplane. I noticed some errors when I was cleaning it up for unrolling, and being a perfectionist, I couldn't let them pass.

Or the Quickie. Either would make an interesting addition.

Despite the fact that I'm an incurable Luft46 addict, the Quadriplane is just too good to pass off. I vote for the Quadriplane!!! :)
(But I won't complain if you end up with the unnamed Junkers ground attack plane.)

I moved the thread here from the 'Cardboard Lounge' yesterday. You were probably posting during the move.
