**Stage 1, reference gathering**
ok so here goes...
ive still new to the papercraft, 3d modeling, and whatnot, but im getting good and im thinking i wanna take on something ambitious.
im gonna attempt to make the exo suit from D9, as well...lets face it, that *%$# was awesome!!!!
now i think i can pull this off. im thinking i wanna make it like 12 inches to 17 inches tall. why so big? well theres a LOT of detail on this thing, and well i can only do justice if i have more room to work with. i dont like boxy models, i like layers and details. if this comes out correct ill have a wounderful place on my desk for it, and maby you all aswell, BUT i need your help! i need refrence pics. ive grabed all the ones from Weta's site and there good but im missing some key areas. i need good pics of the following;
back of unit
top of unit
side view of legs
side view of arms.
i think i can pull it with what i got bit the more reference the more i can get as close to correct as possible. id love to just buy one of weta's but well...$599 is a bit out of my cost range..why else would i make papercraft!
so my friends, help me out here and ill keep this posting goin with start to finish.
