I could use some help or a link to a tutorial for hull design in Rhino.

I've created a ships waterline hull which looks fine but doesn't unfold. The old "can't fold paper in two directions" thing.

In a large model you can break the hull into sections but as I'm working on 1:600 scale, the models I have planned will be between 200mm and 400mm in length, I would prefer a to make a hull from the following.

Base, deck, port side, starboard side and a number of formers.

I have done some work in meta which unfolded OK in Pep and I'd like to do the same in Rhino.

Thanks in advance.

Try the smash command if it gives you anything good

When using the unroll command I have the "labels On" as this helps me to assemble the part when I have to use the "Explode" option.

Problem is I can't seen to get rid of them when I've finished.

Any point me in the right direction?

Cheers JTF

I'm rather curious as to how to get flattened parts to output from Rhino at the correct, proper size. Almost all of the 3-D programs I've looked at over the past few months, don't have a way to output to a file that I can be sure is the right size. The shape might be okay, but if it is so much as a tenth of a millimeter out of the right size, it's useless...

This is really a point of interest.
