Thanks Chris, I have more projects started (3D-ready, waiting for test build or painting), but I dont't show them here yet. When I finish Chevy, I return to them and show on forum.

In this model I already done the cab:

Super! What programs do you use? those look REALLY good :) I see some really hard curves to take care of but nothing over the top. Just give a shout (via pm) if you want your own sub forum like the other guys) have any older stuff you want to show off/sell? :)

Very interesting. I think is going to be fun to build that lights in 1/72.

Today, I make wheels and chassis.

cgutzmer, Now I learning modeling in Rhino 3D, paint parts in Corel DRAW and some times in Photoshop. This truck has little hard to unroll shape, but I allready done most difficult parts (like hood):)

Blackronin I love too :)

Alcides Yes, but more fun will be with chassis:)
P.S. I love Yerba too!

Thanks for interesting!

this does look like some seriously nice design work!
(but the steering wheel is on the wrong side)

in 1/72 scale? are you nuts?
I see some pretty small elements in this design that I would not attempt at 1/72!

jjb89
03-03-2010, 07:40 AM
doctormax, Your Cirtoen is much more complicated than Chevy, but possible:)

JT Fox, thanks!

airdave, No, steering wheel is in correct side, look on the photos here: http://www.lrdg.org/historical_photos_Equipment.htm

This truck will be little hard to build, but not impossible :) I will add optional parts, or make two versions in different hard levels.

3D model is ready, I think:) Now on I'm start unrolling and painting parts.

P.S. Sorry, if my english isn't correctly...

jjb89 your 3d model looks very impresive. I'm looking forward for the unroll.

Do you know about Yerba? That's is a surprise, I always think is an Argentinian/Uruguayan affair :D

Thanks to all, I unrolled and painted (CorelDRAW) some parts, it is very small so I don't use Photoshop. What do you think?

Maybe I make 'The Desert Pink camo':D too.

Alcides In last 2-3 years drinking Yerba in Poland is quite popular:), check the photo of my bombilla (handmaded by my father).

The parts looks nice, I like that color but a Desert pink camo, wow!!! ;)

About yerba, well you've to say: I'm drinking MATE. In Argentina we call the drink by the name of recipient which is mate. The words in my logo are: "Modelos Mate Amargo" witch roughly translated Could be: Mate Bitter Models :)

Just curious , Where is the yerba from in Polonia ?

Your bombilla looks very well , better than a lot of bombillas I can buy here. Congrats your father for the build.

Hi!
Unrolling parts is almoat ready:) Some of parts I redesigned, like wheels.
I removed the rim, I think it will be unneed complication. I maked two versions of wheels: simple and little harder to cut but most attractive (recomended:)). What do think?
I maked a cover too.

doctormax I don't know what happen to Lech in Ireland, but is a lot of other very tasted polish beers:D

Alcides, sorry for wrong namenclature, when I write in english, sometimes forgot of it... "Polish" Yerba is import mainly from Argetina;) and Paraguay. Most popular brands are Amanda, Pajarito, Cruz de Malta or Rosamonte:) (what a off-topic:D)

cgutzmer

Looks good and if good to give choices to the builder. It's more work for the designer but good the modeler.

I like the carton look in the cover.

You don't have to apologize we're just chatting. Mate it's very related to papermodeling/designing for me, I drink mate while I'm building/designing :D I'm drinking mate made with Cruz de Malta right now. :)

By the way I've been in your site and the model of Fowler B5 is very interesting.

Yes, it looks more like truck for dolls, than military vehicle:)...but I think it's different by others camos and quite attractive.

Instruciton is ready, so all of digital work is over. Test build soon!

jjb89
04-15-2010, 01:51 AM
Test build started!

Paper is the same like KW-2, laser print, retouching by acrilic.
Some of part will be dissect and glue egde to edge for better effect.

Got a thought for ya - one thing I always thought would be a nice touch on vehicles would be an option for headlights :) THink really little plastic canopies :) this would also open up a nice option for those that are so inclined to add led headlights if it struck their fancy.

Looking really good though and thanks for the update!
Chris

airdave

wow you obviously have some (micro) building skills!

but thats way too complicated a model (for me) at such a small scale.

jjb89
04-15-2010, 02:45 PM
Thanks AirDave, I have a problem with my alergy (can't use super-glues, griptapes, or oil paints:() so I can't build on level what I want. This are downloadable models so You can print another copy and training:)

Chris Its good idea with led lights, but I can't that, and I my model have 'masked' lights (right painted on black, left covered),
But maybe someone do this :)

Another update:

Beautiful!!! I want to build one. What do you use to cut the curves, a x-acto knife ?

jjb89
04-20-2010, 08:22 AM
Thanks:), some times I use finger neil's scissors, but more Olfa Design Knife AK-3 (you can see it on one photo in KW-2 thread (first page))

Very nice and detailed , but isn't a little "empty" ? I mean a LDRG car should have a lot a things attached ( supply boxes , barrels, canisters....)?

jjb89
04-22-2010, 02:09 PM
JT Fox, thanks.
Dragos, Your right, but epquipment will not accommodate to one A4 sheet:D This a basic version:)(so it have only radio boxe)

But I make a free addon and put on my site, with barrels, canisters, sand matt, machine gun.

cgutzmer
04-22-2010, 03:49 PM
uhhhhh why cant it be more than one page? it would be really nice to include it all in one shot! :)

I love it!!! Is the exhaust card too?

When is going to be available ?

jjb89
04-23-2010, 03:43 AM
Cgutzmer right, I mean the truck parts are on all A4 format,
and equipment will be on 1/2 or less, and ...I don't know what this mean, probably I have little bit less sleep:D
All will be in one PDF haha

Alcides really near soon, when I make instruction to equipment.
All You see is from basic PDF. In the kit is template to make exhaust, it is wire.
