I tend to use reference colour charts from plastic kits as a guide for the models I do, Humbrol, Revell etc.

I tend to sample the chart in Photoshop or use an online resource which shows the RGB numbers.

However, now and again I get a colour which is made up of two colours. The fuselage I am currently working on needs a mix of Revell 76 Light Grey, Matt (75%) and Revell Grey, Matt (25%)

I have RGB numbers and swatch samples for the two colours but how do I mix them in Photoshop?

Cheers

You could do an overlay of one color as a solid layer at 50% transparency over the other color.

you can also use the smudge tool to mix the two colours.

Hi RyanShort1.

I started out using the transparency until I found a cool way using the "Gaussian Blur" command.

I'll expand if anyone else is interested.
