I'm wondering if I just missed something....

In my stash I have Surfduke's 1/48 Mercury-Atlas, Ton's 1/48 Gemini-Titan and Leo's 1/48 Vostok, Voskhod and Soyuz launch vehicles, but no 1/48 Mercury-Redstone. Was one ever released by anyone?

Just thinking the six would make a heck of an impressive display if I ever managed to build them!

Where did you get a Mercury-Atlas? I have a Mercury-Redstone (from Urban Kartonmodelle), Gemini-Titan and Saturn-Apollo plus L.E.M and a Space Ship One all in 1/48 scale. I also found a V-2 in 1/32 scale I plan to reduce to 1/48. I would love to add a Mercury-Atlas to my fleet, and (if I can talk my wife in to letting me) a 1/100 scale Space Shuttle enlarged to 1/48. Would love to see some pics of your fleet............Rich

As I was rereading this thread, I was thinking what enormous gratitude we owe to all the designers of these remarkable models and all the others available for FREE on the web.

Consider how much something like a 1/48 Mercury-Atlas or Soyuz launch vehicle would cost in styrene or resin. And a talented builder (not including myself :) ), can create a replica that looks as if it would cost hundreds of dollars/euros/whatever.

Thanks to everyone who puts in their precious time to give us paper shredders the opportunity to recreate aerospace history!

Nice models and even the examplepages on the Modelik-site look already in buildable quality.....

This should come as no surprise after 5 years, but the link to the 1:48 Mercury Redstone is dead. Any idea where else I could look ?

When in doubt, try the wayback machine Sherman.

One set of search results for 2005 is: Project Mercury (http://web.archive.org/web/20050206144946/http://www.cardinspace.com/models/mercury/index.html) . Archive does several captures of websites at various dates.
