OK, one day I want to get back to my ironclads. But, after doing that car for my boss and last week helping my 11 year old with a v-1 flying bomb model for school history, I have been called upon again. This time, my 11 year old needs a diorama for WWII history. His choice, the B-17. Good plane, but he wants a diorama touching on "Rosie the Riveter. Something like the photo I am posting. It is of the plant in Seattle Washington.
So, using Gimp I cut out the top section of the Fiddlers Green B-17. I took the color out to save ink then printed 8 to a sheet. Then we glued the pieces to aluminum foil. Now we are attempting to cut and glue the pieces to make the naked metal parts seen in the picture. They do not need to be perfect but respectable. I will have pictures of the diorama soon.
