This is somewhat impressive.

And another link on that same page to Cardboard Safari Shop (http://www.cardboardsafari.com) looks like great fun! How about this one, Fishcarver?

Wow, amazing stuff,
Thanks for posting, I always like those things "on the edge" of papermodeling.

Hey Rob ,
I have one of those, great fun, bit pricy

$52 bucks, all cut out. Believe it or not, as for myself, the cheapest person in the world, I don't think that's all that bad of a price, especially for the elephant. That being said. It wouldn't take much to bang that out in Rhino. Maybe an hour from beginning to end. The other link, well, that just plain pisses me off when I see fantastic stuff like that, the audacity of publicly being so brilliant.

They look organic. Or like something Antonio Gaudi would have done.

If the columns were cut out of MDF and bonded with epoxy, rather than made of cardboard thay would be structural and very impressive if given a faux stone finish.

Same technique could be used to make deeply scuplted wall panels or appliques for cabinetry.

Could make impressive decor for theme restaurant or "wow" factor display for interior decorator or architects offices.

And they are very "Gaudi".

If someone had lots of bucks, the column could be formed out of flamable plastic sheets, encased in clay or sand, burned out and cast in metal.

Computer aided fabrication has potential that scares me a little.

I love the animals! Especially the African elephant and the rhino - so symbolic of my childhood and young adult days, having been born and raised in Africa.

[Heavy sigh .................]
