I know we work at diferent levels and speeds, but I was wondering what your best or favorite one day model is. I like the FG Chipmunk, and FGs F-86, both look good and only take a few hours to do. What do y'all like for that quick build when you find a few hours for yourself?

My best one day model was Lisa, from Denton, Texas! Well, a day, here, a day there. :)

Many of my KoolWheelz models can be built in one session.
I built my latest...a Blade Runner Spinner Car in exactly 90 minutes last night
from printed single sheet to getting the camera for photos.

I am extremely happy with the quality I try to maintain in the models,
so I am quite pleased when they build well.

Both Chipmunk models are pretty good for the time they take to assemble (I agree).

FG Mustang P-51 is pretty good looking and builds up very quickly.
...probably lots of FG models that fall into that category.

Dear CT:
My vote is for scale cubes, easy to make, fun to track down, so far i've made 6 or 7 got 20 to 25 downloaded from the net. Give it a try.
Thanks
MILES

The Sonex JSX-1 Subsonex. From blank screen to completed cardmodel in 8 hours (that includes designing it).

KoolWheelz Tumbler. It is probably the most-talked about and gawked-over model I have. Excellent texture. Went together in practically no time. One of my agents was at the office and he picked it as the one that wasn't made of paper. It's that good.

My favorite build i would say was of my all-time favorite control-line plane the
Riley Wooten VOODOO 1961 combat winner from http://digilander.libero.it/ucontrol2000/U-Control-2000/index.htm
about 2 hours to build and lots of memories...mostly crashes but hey FUN....Rich

I'd have to say mine is a tie between the FG Super Decathlon (3 hours) and the FG F-84 in photo paper (6 hours)

OH-6 by Oddball Productions, I've built 3 so far. I just like the look of it.

The Sonex JSX-1 Subsonex. From blank screen to completed cardmodel in 8 hours (that includes designing it).

I almost bought that plane, but decided to stop flying (not the jet version). A very solid easy plane to build. Best kitplane for the money, that or a Zenith Zodiac.:)

I did a couple of Squidwards, one a day, for some hard core SBSP fans.

Some complicated folds, but the finished product is great.:)

That model and a SpongeBob and Patrick done close to scale make a good display.

I only made two one day papermodels, but my best was the WTC firemen released a couple of days ago:

In just 4 hours build the TEXAN in the big edition from Fidler's Green.
Nice airplane.

Hardly qualifies as serious modelling but you can build a simple stomp rocket in 30 minutes - add another 15 if you have to build yourself a launcher also.

Yogi (non-soft landing on recovery ...)

BTW - nice job on MIR spaceguy5

i'm afraid you'll have to be more specific. do you mean built in a day? or designed and built in a day?

Building at techtonic speeds, it takes me longer then that on what to even print out. I still have unopened plastic kits from 40 years ago. Maybe if I live to retirement I can actually finish something then.

What do y'all like for that quick build when you find a few hours for yourself?

Since not all of us are designers, and the quote mentions ¨quick build¨ I think it is build, without design. ;)

With regards,

Jerry
