What a beautiful train. It is amazing this guy first, owns a Train, I'll start a museum if I can own a train (wishful thinking), and that it was all ready to go, incredible!

My Dad probably worked on 55022.
He worked on Deltics up to 1966 (out of Derby)

Now that's cool. Forwarded the link on to a friend of mine. He's building the New York City Mack Superpumper in 1/16 that used a Deltic engine to drive the pumps.

Wonderful! Such a beautiful locomotive. Deltic engines were used to drive a vast number of warships, including the "Nasty" class patrol boats and some classes of minesweeper.

WoW! Peter, that is a great looking model and a wonderful video! I am in a group of Yanks who can proudly claim to have ridden BritRail. In fact, I was a passenger on the steam locomotive Queen Elizabeth back in the fifties. I have loved train travel ever since!

CD, you can truly be proud to have ridden on that Great Loco, one of the first attempts of Streamlining the Loco. Glad you like the model, i made this some years ago now, but still have a desire to build it again using better matches. Thanks CD.
