Well friends!

This is my last model built on the scale 1/100. The Polikarpov I-16 Type 10 in the colors of the Republican Air Force during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939). This model published by Aeroteca Barcelona was originally on the scale 1/48 put the scan and to reduce my favorite scale (1/100). It is a simple model but with some errors of fitting, and the editor of this characteristic lack of undercarriage that had to do a scratchbuilding.

An interesting comparison with the English Vickers Jockey prototype of the fighter aircraft developed at the same time that the I-16, the appearance of the Jockey archaic in comparison to I-16 is obvious ...

Those are very nice little models. I like 1/100 models and appreciate the skill required to work so small.

Being as I build in 1/144, I can really appreciate what it takes to build this small. I am also working on the I-16, but smaller. Hope it turns out half as good as this one!

And I sometimes complain about parts in 1:33 scale being to small

I think I have these old lits somewhere, but I never built them because the printing was not great. But I see that reducing the size makes them look very good, especially when built as well as this one! Very nice looking tiny model!

Nice models and nice scale. 1:100 is my preferred scale also.

Where did you get the Vickers Jockey from? I have an interest in early British birds and haven't seen this kit.

Thank's friends! Really the Aeroteca's printing is low quality, but for 1/100 scale is perfect, I painted with acrylic paint some points ... as well as some lines with naking ink before building.

Ashrunner you got the Vickers Jockey here: Mikromodele (http://www.mikromodele.cba.pl/mikromodele.htm)

Cheers!

Oh they are cute! I like the small model myself and these are wonderful. I like the Rata much.

Great job on both models. As you say, the technological superiority of the Rata over the Vickers is startling. It's hard to believe they were contemporaries. Another benefit of building small was highlighted here - mediocre artwork improves greatly when reduced.

Thank's people!!!

1/100 is funny scale. I like a lot because the great choice of subjects, for reductions and conversions to another scales. ;)

Cheers!
