I know there are some here that won't see this update, so I figured I'd copy it over here.

Scale paper Models (http://www.byairclassique.com/Scalemodels%20BAC2.htm)

Dear All,

I am sorry it is so long since I posted a thread, but to those who know, our plans and business have been much affected by Terry's cancer treatment and major surgery in the last 18 months, but at least the aspects of that are behind us at this point.
After five years of hard work we are pleased to announce the 25 airplanes we will be DEFINITELY releasing before the end of the year. This is NOT a wish list with all these designs pretty much complete.

It has been a fascinating process determining what models to create as a collection to release, and we have another dozen or so designs at near-completion that we will be bringing out subsequently. So you will be looking at around forty different designs at very least. As well we will be releasing 1/72 models of Croydon Airport, Wichita

We haven't had time to overhaul the website but check it out anyway<http://byairclassique.com/> There will be lots happening there soon...

I attach some progress images of recent work.

Regards and best wishes to you all...

Rosie and Terry

This is great news! I purchased a number of aviation post cards from Contour Creative/Air Classique over the years and had been looking forward to the line of Golden Age passenger aircraft. I knew that the project was on hold due to Terry's illness and am happy to hear that he is on the mend and the airplane project is back on.

Thanks for passing this on, Dan.

Yeah, that was posted over on the Zealot site. There is more information there.

Honestly, I REALLY don't like the trend over at Zealot. I could handle it when there was the Cardmodels.net division, where you didn't always see the railroad stuff, but now...

Ryan,

You know, in the cp, you can select which forums to hide/exclude? Then,
all you see, most of the time, is the cardmodel forums.

I'll have to try that.

Beautiful models from the largely neglected between-the-wars era. I'm looking forward to them, despite the arthritis-challenging scale....

Hi Bill and others..Thanks for the interest in our designs..We have about fifty subjects well advanced and design other airplane things as well...I'll put some things in the image gallery when I can figure out what to do...A huge hole in the 'Golden Age' of aviation that we are trying to fill...buildings, aeroplanes, vehicles and figures. Sort of a perpetual Golden Age aircraft 'play set' if you like in 1/72... http://www.byairclassique.com (http://www.byairclassique.com/)

That looks great! Can't wait to see some of the models, I was working on some planes of the same era with fg, and hope to do more in the future. Nice to see some of these planes especially (good spot Dan)

There isn't a kit on that list that I haven't wanted a model of.

The Golden Age of Aviation is my absolute favorite time. It is good to see work being done in that arena.

I'm very much looking forward to some of the releases, if not all.

Now that you've made it over here I feel awkward about posting your introduction thread - but I'm glad you've made it over here to post updates. As I said in the PM at the other place, I knew there were some here interested who wouldn't see the other thread ;)

Dan..I always find threads on forums a bit of a mystery..I'm trying to figure out how to remove a repeated image on the gallery for a start...I'm always impressed with the balancing act between Modeling brilliance and Obsessive Compulsive Disorders. I have just done a quick look through our files and we would have nearly 100 designs in un-released state which is slightly terrifying to contemplate. I get the impression this Forum has a different focus to the other forum, but perhaps this is a fairly subjective response to web design itself?

From a modelling point of view I am fairly political about both paper and the fact that there are WAY, WAY too many War subjects on the market, which for aircraft at least, completely distorts the reality of aviation development. It is interesting that the same internationalism and outward focus of the 1920's and 1930's through aviation is mirrored in the function of these forums. I think to be involved in them for no other reason than talking to people around the world, is reason enough.

Cheers

Terry

Hello Terry and Rosie. I am a 50 something , builder of paper models for 40 something, and I share your passion for the 20's and 30's and for civilian subjects. Almost everything hanging from my ceiling is some kind of airliner. I am very much looking forward to your coming releases, and the more colorful and exotic in design, the better... No shortage of subjects from that era, many of which have never been modeled in any form. (How about (just for example) the last of the Ford Trimotors, the A-14 http://www.aerofiles.com/ford14a.jpg )

Anyway, thanks for the efforts and the posting. Cheers

I have just, inadvertently, erased several private messages from some of the members. Unfortunately I can not recall the names of who sent them, but if they could be re-sent I will respond...

Thanks for this. Our Schipohl Airport building is in 1/72 scale and has suffered from lack of photos dimensions etc. LOTS and LOTS of unanswered correspondence to the Netherlands have hampered this project, but you should expect something in 2009.
