Taking a brief respite from my F-35 model, I printed out this 1965 kit of a 1915 Model T Ford. I found this at Il favoloso mondo di carta di Totò: Ford modèle T 1915 (http://ilfavolosomondodicartaditoto.blogspot.com/2011/10/ford-modele-t-1915.html), where it is described:

cartamodello della ford modello t del 1915 apparso sul n° 75 (1965) di marabout-junior.

Translation indicates that this is a Ford Model T from 1915 appearing in the No. 75 issue of Marabout-Junior (which appears to be a French young adult comic magazine that apparently had these little extras thrown in from time to time).

I chose it because its a quick little kit, and I'm currently having a problem with my blue ink, and this kit is red and black only. I decided to print it on manilla cardstock (feels a little thicker than standard 110lb index) which gives it an antique look to match the style of model.

The kit uses slot-and-tab construction but I chose to remove these in favor of edge-gluing. This required some superglue on some parts (the wheels and axles specifically), but all in all it came out quite nice for such a simple kit. This maybe took me 2 hours in total.

Here is the model sheet, printed to fit 8" across a page:

And finally the finished model:

Now back to my "serious" model.

What a fun little excursion. The model sure was heavy on the score lines, wasn't it?

This is a little beauty! I must build it! An enthusiastic application of Neocolor II greyish black will make those score lines disappear, although they also add a certain charm to the model.

I've not seen a model of the Model T "Doctor's Coupe" before.
It is a delight to see it, and certainly a very pleasant little model, even though so apparently simple. It is also at about my own level of building skills. :)

Very nicely and neatly done cMags my friend,

Kind and Respectful Regards, Uyraell.

Yes definitely heavy on the dotted lines, but after I colored some of them in with my black pencil, it seemed to take away that certain charm as Don put it, so I erased it and left the lines intact. :)

This model could stand for a fair bit of cleanup prior to printing - some of it is asymmetrical, the fold lines could be thinner or removed, etc, but all in all, I like it as-is.

I'd be tempted to putter with it, but I'm afraid it would take away from the charm.

Thanks for sharing

Wow! Thanks for the link! These are much higher resolution scans than I had found before.
