Looks great Niki! Now, Aaron needs to break one of his design rules (# of engines) and make a B-52 in the same scale to go with the Hound Dog

The Hound Dog's one of my favorites. Dad worked on these when he was in the Air Force. I'm slowly working on a heritage series. (Gotta do the Spooky and Blackbird eventually)

A B-52 to scale might break another rule: Don't design anything bigger than I am.

I couldn't get it up to the scale of the Hound dog anyway without using formers and breaking up the skin into chunks instead of rings.
Easier to shrink the Hound Dog down.

Besides, since my models are comparable to FG models, and they already have a B-52...

The only reason I won't is that mine would be almost exactly like theirs. Nobody would buy it.

I just bought your Hound Dog model @ ECard. My father, too, was a guidance systems specialist on them at McCoy AFB during the 60s. I still have the company model they gave him. Once Peter Taft gets the problems with the GPM worked out, I'll build and repaint it, downsize your Hound Dog and have a model no sane person should even consider hanging from the ceiling!

Hmm. My dad was a guidance systems specialist too, I'm not sure when though. Or where. All I remember is he has an old 8mm film titled "The HoundDogs arrive" in his collection of home movies. And he worked on the SR-71 from '65 to '67, after transferring from Hound Dogs.

That's awesome. I checked out the ecardmodels site but couldn't find the Hound Dog missile on it. Any ideas where I can find it or could someone send me a copy of the file.
Thanks
Mike

You can find it on Aaron's webpage. It's in his signature in the post above yours.

Being a new member, maybe stop by the "welcome desk" and introduce yourself.

And, it is considered very bad form to ask someone to send you a file that
is a paid model.

You might need to contact Aaron directly about purchasing it.

It's not ready yet. I redraw the model and updated the graphics (I also did a camo version). Now I'm just waiting until after I move so I can do some test builds. (Printer and modelling supplies are in a box)
