I am building a 1/9 scale B-17 aircraft and would like it to have panel lines and rivets. Does anyone know where I can get Technical Drawings of the B-17 that would show me the panel lines and rivets of the whole plane. Thank You Carl CarlDB @ aol.com

If you can find these Polish books from A.J. Press, “Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress” Parts 1 and 2, they contain large pull out sheets with 1/72 scale drawings showing panel lines and rivet patterns. You will have to cross reference with photos though as there are some inaccuracies. “B 17: Flying Fortress” by Roger Freeman and Rikyu Watanabe also contains nice plan drawings of the B-17G with panel lines and rivets. I don’t recall off hand what scale they are in. I can check.

You can also have fun reading the Restoration of the Mary Alice Thread at Warbird Information Exchange.

That is probably the best source of photographic material for anyone building a B-17.

Hope you don't mind if I stick my nose in here, those drawings are all at 1:72 scale.
