This must be the first Potw of an not completely finished build, in fact this picture only can be taken when the model is not finished.
But it shows what you can do with a little creativity , a camera and a paper model , and a little bit of Photoshop .....
here's the thread with the finished model, and the explanation how it's done;

Wow. Great choice. :cool:

Paper and technology mixed. I've seen the same view many times flying to Europe. :)

A nice piece of work.

However, it is not the first in progress POTW we've seen. I know that Bomarc's engine from the PBJ build was one,
and if I'm not to senile, there was one of a vehicle in progress, but there is the possibility of error on that one.

Yes it was imcolds X-Wing.

But nevertheless, this one is very worthy to have as potw! Great choice!

I was wondering what that shot reminded me of, then I remembered. Does anyone recall an old Twilight Zone staring William Shatner? He was looking out on the wing of an aircraft in flight and saw something amazing.

When I open the forum home page blue sky and jet liner’s engine jump to the eyes so I thought I get to certain airliner’s home page and tried to find moderate rate ticket section.
Finally I knew it’s a paper model ! Fantastic build and picture
Conguratulations.

I am honoured by all your cheers, and only because it's so much fun to do this sort of thing. Billy is right, this can only be done when the model is definitely NOT finished.
When the DC-8 is complete, I cannot resist to put in the full aircraft in this cabin view. Then you'll see a model in an unfinished and a finished state in one pic!

By the way, I seem to remember a thread on photographing models in various settings. There were many interesting photo's there.
