Futurama Bender

I've been collecting build pictures of my Bender model, and just received what's become my favorite, so far. This one was built by Gearz, with a few extra accessories, and reposed arms and legs. I REALLY like this version!:)

Sort of on topic, does anyone have a valid download link for the Planet Express ship? I just got the Futurama DVD and decided I wanted to build the models, but I guess I never downloaded the ship...

Never mind - It was in the cardmodels.net parts bin under a different name...

Any possibility of getting the Benders downloads available at Paper Modelers?

I downloaded the the first Bender zip file over at Zealot and it said there was no file to extract when I went to open it.

I don't think I'll be posting ten times over there again...

I haven't been able to download anything successfully at Zealot lately, at least not with Internet Explorer. Only Firefox works there lately.

I don't have the Bender files on this machine, but I'll copy them out of my old one and post them here when I can.

Meanwhile, if anyone who wants to has the files, you have my permission to pm Terry and share them with him directly.

The download server at Z is really unreliable and you have to try different browsers to get one that the server will play nicely with - the problem is not the files but that the server randomly cuts off the download and even though it looks like a proper file, it isn't. Easiest way to check is to compare the file size with the file size on the download page...

Let me introduce you my Bender paper model.

And the way you can build it.
Begin with body. U can print the whole model in BW printer, and then just airbrush it. Also, u can just glue 2 sheets of A4 together in order not to mess with cardboard.
To make arms and legs u've got to use DVD to TV Video/Audio cable.
For that, u’ve got to get rid off that crap that fat black cable’ve got inside, by pulling it out, and put there some wire instead.
The length of the visible of arms and legs parts must be aprox 5-5.5cm. (2.16inch)
Then comes eyes and upper part of the head. U’ve got to use some plasticine for that smooth form. That black part where the eyes sit was made of diskette. The holes for eyes were grinded.
Then comes time to make some airbrush. In order to paint arms and legs properly u’ve got to make some masks to hide the black lines. U can do it by cutting 3mm scotch stripes. Put’em in 6mm each from another.
If u won’t be able to find the proper wire diameter for legs\arms, then u’ve got to scale up Benders hands, forearms and feet by 5%. (Photoshop)
The Benders door was made of thick wire and painted with black color, and glued to it's body.
