This thread is going to be a bunch of dioramas built on quarters. The first one is this A-10 in 1/1850th scale.

I recommend that you get an electron microscope and start carving on human hair!
lol!
that's really tiny... I didn't know planes could get that small...........

If you and paper-kosmonaut ever get together we're going to have a catastrophic gravitational collapse and lose you both down a wormhole ...

Thank you. The A-10 and the U-2 are from paragon, the vehicles are from ollie's paper models, and the carrier is from yuki yuki's old website.
And here is my verision of the U-2 spy plane incident in 1/1900 scale.

My first thought was "You're not like other people, are you?"
Absolutely amazing work Baxter. I've built a few small things myself, but nothing like this. I think it's beyond my capabilities. But you've made me want to try.....

OMG - maybe I'm not like other people either

Amazing, beautiful work, and very artistic in the design of the dioramas. I enjoy doing fine, intricate work myself, but can't even think this small. And everything looks so good!
Wow, and Congratulations.

Thanks for sharing, even though seeing your pieces makes me feel like a kid with a single edge razor blade, (and ready to hang that up, too.)

Does your camera have the capability to make an extreme close-up photo of one of those airplanes? I would like to see, as I am quite mystified about just how you manage to make them look so good. Thank you

After a long wait I finally built another one. This one is a kc-135 and a pair of fiddlers green F-16.It is in 1/2000 scale. Thanks to scisorsandplanes for the great tanker.

These are totally amazing to me, Baxter. It would seem to me that any printable paper would be too thick for this sort of thing. I think if tried something like this I'd have to use a modeling material. My eyes blur at the thought, though.

Here is my next model in this series. It is a destroyed Jagdpanzer. I think this model is in 1/600 scale but I can't remember. I am starting to run out of ideas of what to put on a quarter next, so if you have any suggestions (or challenges:)) please feel free to post them. Thanks for all the comments.

You've covered land, water, and sky pretty well... how about space? Maybe an astronaut working on Hubble held up by the Space Shuttle's robotic arm? Over, of course, a view of Earth from orbit...

Maybe try to do a scissorsand planes a330 in 1/1800? I have a picture of my 1/1200 a340-600

Maybe even try to do 1/1200, may fit

Here is my attempt at a space shuttle. I printed it out a little to big so I couldn't get it to fit on a quarter, but I thought I would post it here anyway. I think it is something like 1/2000 scale, but I don't know. The big one is 1/144 scale.

Wow! I can't even imagine attempting AXM's shuttle at that scale. I went with the Delta Columbia model and was happy to get it built at ~1/800! The shuttle inside the shuttle made my day! Nice job!

If you mount it vertically on the rocket, the whole unit (4th pic) still sits on the quarter.
Great build and very interesting.

Not to thread jack, but you inspired me.

I read this thread this morning and had a lightning bolt of an idea.

I had to make Elephants on a Dime.

Both are “Canon paper craft African Elephant,” printed at 10% and 8%.

Thanks for sharing, I look forward to you future works.

I decided to make my return to paper modeling by building a quarter diorama of my own: the Paper-Replika.com 1:300 Saturn V built at 1:2500, based on the classic picture of the Apollo 11 launch.
