Notifications back on!

Looks like Jason got the notification emails fixed up. I just got my first one a few minutes ago :)

I got a PM email notice this morning...so thats fixed for me.
But still not getting "instant email notification" of posts in my
threads or threads I have posted in or any subscribed threads.

This is my first log-on of the day...and I checked the New Posts list
and found three threads I am subscribed to (with new posts).

Yahoo Mail server is not getting emails....my spam filters are set
to mark spam as 'spam" or 'bulk' and send it to me...it then goes
in to my trash folder where I can quickly check it for misdirection error.

Nothing from pm.com is coming through.
(Since the PM notice came through this morning, doesn't that show that
Yahoo is not filtering out pm.com mail?)

I have checked my User CP settings and all is as it was before this
problem started, so I can't find any solution in there.

Yahooooo! Seems to be working for me now too.

@Airdave - you probably won't see notices until the next post in the threads. Posts made prior to the fix won't trigger the notification.

which along with six other threads, I have not been notified about.

Since I get no email notifications anymore I have to look through the "New Posts" list to find
any threads that have new posts in them...even my subscribed and personal threads.

another thing I notice is this thread, and a few others, have new posts since my last visit,
like the post by sjsquirrel...and yet it is in the "this thread has not been updated since your
last visit but still contains unread posts" list.

Obviously this thread HAS been updated since my last visit.

I wonder if this is related to the no email notification problem?

I had Dave reply to one of my subscribed threads. I did not receive an email notification. Went to my user cp,
and under subscribed threads, none of the notification blocks are checked. Tried to reset them, still would not
check the instant notification block. Tried to subscribe to this thread, with the instant email notification checked,
and then went to user cp to check it. The instant notification check box was blank as well. Perhaps that is where
the subscribed thread email issue is?

Just found Ray's last post...by looking through the "New Posts" list again.

I don't see anything changed or needs to be changed.

Well, my subscriptions show they are set for instant notification, but like all
others, no emails are forthcoming. One step at a time!

I also keep checking my trash and spam folders at the yahoo server,
just in case a pm.com email appears, but they do not.

Well I will have another look, and see what might be a miss. Shud be if you get one email, you should receive them all. I also have it set that the mass emails go out as bulk emails which should not cause any issues, but you never know if ISP filter them out as spam.

I think I found a trick to jump start it if the fix is not working for you. I went to the User CP, clicked View All Subscribed Threads, then hit the upper right check box to select all. Then at the bottom right, there is a pull down menu marked Selected Threads, under Update Subscription Type choose Instant Email Notification (I didn't check if choosing Daily or Weekly helps) then click Go. Make sure you go through all pages of subscriptions. Now I seem to be getting notifications.

other subscribed threads (like this one) that I did not receive any notifications for.
