I don't do subs, but I didn't want this to get off the front page, so I am giving it a bump.

I don't do subs, but this one looks like a real beauty

Hi combatmodel,

That's a great looking sub!

HMS Vanguard is 150 meters long. That's 75cm at 1:200 – a big model.
I have been meaning to build a sub for a while. Two questions:

1) Would it work at 1:250? It would save a little space in my city apartment and fit with my other ships.
2) Is it possible for a non-veteran to build the model? I haven't build a sub before and my last ship was few years back. I doesn't look too scary, but that's not always an indication of how hard it is to put together.

Hi martin I can rescale it for You. It have option to build silos for missles or without it. So it can be made easy :)

Hello Combatmodel,

your design is really great, i like it !!
I have great respect for everyone who designs models on its own !

And designing the rather complicated design of Submarine is far more sophisticated !!!!

Allow me please some questions.

What sort of paper do you use, it seems to be quite glossy on the picture, is it photo paper?
When i print out models on my printer (160 g to 200g) is always matte.
Or do you laminate your model with a shiny coat ?
The Vanguard is a quite modern submarine design, where do you get the hull lines respectively the body plan?

I hope there will be much more designs from you !!

yours sincerely

Thomas

Great, count me in! I'll happily do a 1:250 beta build. I will also give the missile silos a shot.

Looking forward to this dangerous beauty.

The silo segment will have option to build all silos with rockets but it will be optional.
