Hi, friends.

Well, it didn't take me too long to decide what to build next after finishing the Bartel. I'm going to keep a build log for this model at modelshipworld.com (http://www.modelshipworld.com). I'm a moderator there, and I feel like I've been neglecting my duty while cranking out airplane models. :p I'll post a link to the thread there once I get it started, and I'll post some pics of the finished model here. Shouldn't take too long to build...maybe...hopefully.

Cheers!

You'll like this model Chris. It builds up very nicely.

Yes, it does. I have built it, and I have seen some super detailed builds with the awnings, etc. Some delicate work, but no vices.

That's a very nice, clean, squared-up build so far. I have this model (and a lot of other Paper Shipwright models) and am glad to see one being built so that I can learn the techniques.

Do you have photos of your build posted anywhere, Fred?

No, I did it before blogging was invented:) The build that Doc has provided the link to is the one I was thinking of.

A nice and clean build.

Thank you. And a lot of credit for that must go to designer David Hathaway. This is my first Paper Shipwright build, and I have been very pleased so far with the fit and over-all look of the model. I might have to get my hands on some more PS kits.

They are beautiful models and you are doing full justice to this one.

Nice build - and you are right, any David Hathaway model is worth building. He and our own Golden Bear are apparently from the same design school - off-beat subjects done in jewel-like detail.

Looks great.

Some day I hope to try my hand at the Danish coast defense ship, Peder Skram, but I also have this one in the stack.
