Just thought I'd start this over here.

After buying the first 3 seasons of "Emergency!" on DVD, and it being my all time favorite show ever on TV (I stayed up until 3 in the morning to watch reruns as a kid), I ws inspired to see if I could find a model of Squad 51.

Unfortunately, there aren't any out there. Sooo, to make a long story longer:

And next, in color:

It's been through a few more evolutions since these were taken, I made it smaller so I can scale it to Engine 51 and an ambulance once they're done.

Now I just need to finalize the instructions and pages, then find somewhere to host it.

Do we have a Parts Bin here yet?

I haven't figured out a scale yet. It's about 6 inches long though.

One of these days I need to get my own website.

Nice Murph, I like the work. Tires on these things look to me to be a BEAR (Ha!). I think that I would spend days on those bad boys. Speaking of which I need to get back to thinking about tire treads on airplanes. Hmm.

Um, yes.

Both, if I can find the reference material. Which is harder than I thought. Turns out the local fire museum doesn't have a Crown, and their collection stops in the 60's, so no Ward Lafrance either.

Here's a challenge. Can somebody in the LA area get to the LA Fire Museum and get me a good side view of Engine 51 and Squad 51?

The Ward that was "51" was last used in Yosemite Nation Forest as engine 7.
I have Pictures if you want. Pm please.
Surprisingly, a local Fire Museum in my area has 2 Crowns! Pale Yellow, But still California Crowns!. Problem is, I don't have a Digital Camera, so Although I could take pictures of them, it would be difficult to post them.
A friend & firefigther has one, and has asked if I would build a model of the new fire House being built here, so I might be able to talk him into going to the museum & taking pictures. NO promises!

I can get good captures of the Ward LaFrance Engine 51 from the series. But for some reason, the Crown must have been camera shy. 2 seasons of it, and not a good sideview in the bunch. I'm going to have to draw 3 views by hand, so I need a good side view shot of it.

I'm not too good at buildings, so i'll let somebody else do Station 51.

I can't do a digital kit, but give me drawings & I can still build it.
I have been asked by my friend to build the New fire house our town is building.

For anyone who wants them & does not already have them, The "Station-51" tone-out is available here on this page.
I just wish the 'Code3 Collectibles pieces were still available as advertised!

Hi Dan! Thanks for the link! NOW I remember the series, the name Squad 51 didn't mean anything for me. Here in germany it went on television as "Notruf California" and - yes - I LOVED to watch it - also the first repetition, and the second and ... Now I am wainting for your kit murphyaa - only for my memory. Was there ONE sequence, in which the two guy were able to eat till the end? ;)

Okay folks,

Squad 51 is ready to be dispatched. I want to see how popular this is, so PM me with your email address if you want it, and I'll send it to you. It's a large file, at just over 6MB.

For those of you who remember this old classic:
http://img38.imagefra.me/img/img38/2/10/3/murphyaa/f_sebgb4e3dm_88d31d9.jpg I've decided to do an interior for her.

Including the cab, and boxes on the side. Then to up the insanity, I'm gonna try and design the medical equipment, including a stokes basket.

Let's see how long my sanity lasts.

Nothing right now, other than other than PM'ing me your email address. It needs to be able to handle 10MB's
