I just got done making the USS Monitor in 1:250 scale and I was wondering, is there a good model out there of the CSS Virginia? Is the one from Paper Ship wright pretty good? Also, is there anyone making a 1:250 scale USS Cumberland in the Sloop of War configuration, in a waterline model. If not, is there any other ships currently being offered that could be made to look like the Cumberland? If anyone has a line on the USS Minnesota, or the USS Congress, that would be great too! I am still looking but sailing ships in paper seem to be hard to find. Thanks all,
C T.

The Paper Shipwright model is as good as it gets (as are all of David Hathaway's designs.) I recommend it highly!

I have to agree with Ron, David Hataway's designs are excellent.

As far as sailing ships go it would be hard to beat the 26 historical beauties offered by Shipyard. They are a little pricey (particlularly the laser cut kits) but can often be had a lot cheaper on E-bay. I recently got the laser kit HMS Alert on E-Bay for less than 1/2 price. I don't know when I will be brave enough to build it though.Papermodelstore.com had some good prices on the standard kits.

None of the Hampton Roads sailing ships are available. WHV makes the Constitution in 1/250, that is not dissimilar to Congress.
