The Royal Dutch Airforce showed of the new colourscheme for the show-off F16...It's showing the Dutch Lion when it's on his side... I wouldn't mind building one..

Nice Rick, those where the older ones..
The comment on the new one was; "it's probably the worst camouflage-scheme empoyed by the airforce" :D

This would be a great scheme. it's from the 111th FS of the Texas Air National Guard. It was to celebrate the sqaudron's 90th anniversary.

Looks just like the Digital Navy's P-26 Peashooter with the same colors

Yep! each part of the paint scheme stands for some part of the squadron's history. All of the markings are from previous eras and planes.

Triop designed a very simple F-16 which I've painted in a dutch scheme, unfotunately he didn't give the permisson to be released

After building the Arkansas ANG F-16 for my wife, and being from Texas myself, Lordy I would love to have the 111FS bird. Someone over on the FG forum did do the repaint I believe, but I don't remember who. Would almost sell one of the family for that one!

Seems that we need to ask Chris to contract with one of his designers to do some repaints of a really good F-16 model.

Nice - the orange and black and the black / grey version posted by Rick are both very striking aircraft that would look awesome on a model. Unfortunately the only F16 kit I own is the old ('94) Hal - and re-coloring is beyond my capabilities at the current time.

Well ,I was more thinking about a humble FG:rolleyes:

Yes, well I officially joined the ever-growing number of unemployed ex-automotive industry workers yesterday, so I only have access to the models on the shelf for a while. Regardless of the complexity of the model, re-coloring is still beyond my computer skills.

I'm looking at it as an opportunity to spend some quality time with Niklas while I look for a new job. It'll be into summer until I have to dip into retirement savings, and that'll last well into next year - so I think I'll be alright.

Will be thinking good thoughts for you, Dan. Sounds like you have the positive attitude to carry through and we know you have the conscientiousness, keen mind, skills, talent, and abilities to make you a valuable person for some lucky firm.

Hope you're able to enjoy some (forced) time off. I was a graphic designer at the local newspaper here for 16 years - last October my job was outsourced to India and I was laid off (thanks McClatchey). I've been unemployed and looking for a job for six months now! It's been a tight winter, but I still feel optimistic that something will show up eventually though. I'm glad that I actually DO like Ramen noodles!

Good luck, Corbin

Cool, pretty cool models, simple builds, should be fun

also looks like they scanned the preprinted kits at a low resolution

but I will be building those

Billy,

Having recently built the FG F-16, it requires a major redraw and fit test. However, it is basically a sound model.

It would be seriously cool to get the 111FS scheme (that big, blue/yellow job) taken care of by Nobi!

Nice Idea Chris,
Nobi already has done some Dutch planes, like the Fokker F11 and the Seafury

I like that scheme, RTAF (Royal Thai Air Force) have F-16 too and I want to design Thai's F-16 but now I'm with Fokker F-27 in dutch livery what is commission design by Papertrade.

What is desire scale? 1/48 with cokpit and wheel well? or just a simple model for fun build? Chris, any idea?

i would like to have 1:33 if you do this paint job, but 1:48 is fine

cockpit and wheel wells are always a huge plus so I would go that route myself :)

Secr. Gates' has proposed steep cuts in the Defense Department's procurement budget. We might see some interesting paint schemes showing up in the arsenal in the near future . . .

I like that. Funny how there is a NASCAR sticker on it, when that's the look they were going for. :D

It would be fun to see a repaint of an existing kit. But, now that I realize how much time that takes, it is not something to take lightly.

on the rnlaf demo site there are also skins of the lion for lock on and fsx, and if i remember correctly i say a extraction prog in the download section of zflop a couple of months ago for fs (me banned so cant look it up , dont ask why subject closed , look for it in old threads if you really want to know :) ) that should make it easier to create a model right?
