Contest is on tomorrow Saturday.

I'm planning to bring my collection of Luft 46 models as well as my BAC Lightning F6 and the Avia S-199.

Not sure of the categories, but the Luft 46 will be as a collection.

Boats ( Deckape ) and Paul are planning to be there as well. Anyone else, please come.

I went to the Dayton IPMS contest. It was in a new location that was very nice, open and easy to get to.

I was the only one entering paper models All are in 1/33 scale. Paul was there, but did bring his excellent plastic models. He did haul away some awards:cool::cool::cool:

We missed Boats ( Deckape ). He did not show up. Next time mate?

I entered a collection of 6 Luft 46 aircraft and ground schleppers. I got Bronze ( 3rd place ).

I also entered my BAC Lightning in the scratch built converstion etc.. category. It did not place. However, it generated allot of buzz and people talking about it.

Lastly, I entered my Avia S-199 Sakin in the Other miscelenious categorty and it did not place. After the show, one of the modelers talked to me and when I told him it is made of paper, he did not believe me and I let him check it out.

Its tough when the mindset in an IPMS contest is plastic, but I did it for fun.

Anyhow, it was fun event and I got to meet many of my modeling friends again:):):)

Next is Cincinnati contest October 11th:)

congratulations on your award and the interest and conversations you started. That's really why I enter any contest, to promote paper as a medium.

Impressive group and individual models Isaac. Congratulations on your award. You should have been awarded higher (me? I'm not prejudiced at all) but who knows where the conversations started will lead. Thank you for being such an able ambassador for our hobby.
