Do anyone know if there are printed paper soldier available, either for purchase or download. I know of the Junior General one, but it is not what I intend. I want perhaps the style of printed soldier from earlier time. And soldiers from say 18th Century through Second World War. I see some printed soldier here by Mignot

soldat plomb - CBG Mignot : figurine militaire, figurine collection, fabricant diorama planche ''Infanterie Russe'' (http://www.cbgmignot.com/sheet-infanterie-russe_p1648.html)

They are perfect! But, they do not, it seem to me, sell through their web site. But that is the style both in art work and subject. So at least it give an example.

Thank you for any assistance with this. I want to try to make a historic scenery.

Fabrizio (Zio) Prudenziati had a line of free download of 54mm flats of late 15th century soldiers of the Italian city-states in the Age of Condottieri. even though they were flat, they were beautifully done and made up into very attractive model soldiers with rippling banners and horses and siege instruments. They were intended to be used in a wargame and the downloads included a terrain board.

Unfortunately, Zio's website (digilander.libero.it/zioprudenzio/index.html (http://digilander.libero.it/zioprudenzio/index.html)) been "under construction" in recent years and the soldiers are no longer there. Perhaps someone in the Forum has info about his status.

It would be great if his models were to become available again.

Thank you. That is precisely some of the thing I am wanting, including also some of the paper theater models. Although it is dear I see some of the Frederick der Grosse soldiers bring 94 Euros!!!

I will investigate that further!

But there are the French books of uniforms of the "Lace Wars" where you could pretty much just scan them and print them out. With not too much unpleasant PSPing you could use the books and tweak the uniforms for every regiment of most European armies of the period. I guess I'd better go get them off my shelf. They are beautiful books with marvelous illustrations.

Thank you those are interesting. They appear to be the French soldiers from the Algeria war or the Ango-French-Isreal invasion of Egypt to capture the Suez.

I still look for also the armies of the Civil War of 1917.

Thank you again.

Yes, I have saved many images from there. The one or two I have try to print are fair. But I can adjust them perhaps. I find this odd/funny movable soldiers "thing"... it is the French Soldier from the First World War beating a German prisoner ?!?
