Thanks to CharlieC's efforts the model is now numbered! Diagrams are complete there are pictures to go with it now all that is required is a little text instructions (very minimal) a history a cover sheet and send it off to the vendors. My schedule is a little busy but I think I will have my part done by Friday at the latest hopefully today though if I'm not too tired after work.

Many thanks to all who are interested in the project and most especially Shrike, Billy, and Charlie who without their help this model would still be in the design phase.

The restless crowd starts to chant, "What do we want? Moonbat! When do we want it? Now! What do we want? Moonbat! When do we want it? Now! What do we want? Moonbat! When do we want it? Now!" Take your time, no hurry, anytime before noon today will be fine. LOL That looks sweet, Will - you had a top-notch team put together on this one.

I am especially glad. I have been campaigning the Moonbat to any designer who would listen. So yes, I am ready. After the Marek builds, I have a series to build, including some betas, then I feel an experimental series, including the XP-54, 55, 56, and 67. Maybe even the Xp-77 if I feel froggy.

Actually, Ray, for the XP-77 you only have to feel a tiny bit froggy - maybe tadpoly? Just don't tell me you are going to do it in 1:144 scale!!!

Ron - Well, Yeah

Will, the XP-67 does come without the pink polka dots, right?

Forgive me climbing in here - I've spent a while looking at this model.

Absolutely - you get two skins for the model - the prototype and the hypothetical Moonbeam (polka dots) versions.

Charlie

The software Charlie used to work on the files caused a a couple little problems like changing the color in certain places so I've spent all of this evening fixing those bugs (they are now fixed).

As mentioned I will be releasing the model through Gremir, Ecardmodels, and Thaipaperworks. In order to be fair to all I think the release should be coordinated between the 3 to occur at the same time. Mike has informed me that he needs about 2 days to get the files ready so I was hoping to get them all to him tonight (some but not all) so we could shoot for a Saturday release but Chris says he's going camping all weekend so we may have to wait till Monday for the big release.

And I still haven't contacted Nobi yet but it sounds like he has a real simple setup so it shouldn't be a big deal.

Basically what remains now is writing the description, instructions and coming up with a cover page.

Last night when last I posted I had been working on the model for several hours straight and neglected to mention that in addition to his numbering job Charlie provided his parts finder with the model. It will be included in the kit.

Thanks everyone for your interest. It's going to be interesting to see how well it sells. Granted there has been plenty of time for people to become aware of it.

And it is a very interesting, unusual, and good-looking airplane.

It looks right now as though the model will be released Monday evening. The text instructions are complete the cover sheet finalized and now I'm just wondering wether or not to put a little copyright thingy on each of the pages.

I started doing that then noticed that on some pages when I opened them up it was deleting a few select portions of the model. The original PDF was fine but when I opened it up in Corel some portions of fill were gone. Charlie used a free download of Corel X4 and I guess it and my r12 version don't like each other very much.

So essentially the model is done and ready to send off to the vendors except for this one little bug. I have included a note in the instructions that the model is copyright material so maybe that is adequate. I'm getting really sick of dealing with it and just want to fire it off and be done with it.

Will,
I already added (as for all the other kits) copyright info to all the pages.

Well I wasn't worried about the copy you had since I figured that must be the case or at the very least your software provides that protection that's the reason you have the files already. But for everyone else I thought it prudent to add it.

Well the finalized files just got sent off so everone should have them in their email boxes.

And just to wet the appetites a little more here is the cover sheet:

Well I look forward to the day I can see it scaled down to 1/144. I think you're nuts but it'll be interesting to see.

Before I had to leave the alpha tests, I was building up the framing in 1/144. It did look cool! Even as a skeleton.

Thanks guys for the orders. I think I might have confused Chis since he didn't release it on Ecardmodels.com till 8:00 mountain time. Maybe I said Mountain Standard time not daylight savings time? Oh well it's released now and I thank all of you for your interest.

Sorry Chris,

Hopefully in the future it'll go better.

Thanks Ron,

Is this going to be one of the one that gets built soon or does it reinforce your statistic?:D
