With the Beechcraft 1900 production line closing down, it's time to start up the CRJ production line. I currently have 5 repaints printed out. Here's the start of three of them. Go! Airlines operated out of Hawaii on inter island flights.

Cool!!! They're skyline models, aren't they?

Yes, available from paper models (http://www.skylinepapermodels.com/)

Sumato is taking a small break from modeling so I'm doing some repaints for my own amusement.

Here's the Beechcraft 1900's waiting for their landing gears to be finished. Skyline's BAe Jetstream model is Chalk 5 in the formation.

Will your repaints find their way to the Skyline site (or eCardmodels) sometime in the future?

I will finish off the Beechcrafts and send them off to Murphy for his web site. Last time I checked Skylinepapermodels was unable to offer repaints on his site due to limitations on his business license. Looks like the CRJ's will be just for my use.

Talk with Chris at ecardmodels.......... since he sells his models he should be able to sell the recolors on the ecardmodels sight and send Jeremiah his share

With the fuselages almost complete, it's time to hit the engine shop and start turning out the turbines. Kind of a slow build since I'm doing 5 planes at one time.

Just found a few more new paint schemes to do, so I may have to throw a few more designs in the "to do" pile.

Fuselages and engines are done. Now to the joy of making 15 sets of landing gear and 30 tires.

Here's an easy repaint. "Casper" is all white with no markings.

Here's all five. I still need to repaint United Express and America West paint schemes.

America West version is done. All remaining aircraft now have landing gear. One more paint scheme to finish, and still need to make up stands for all the aircraft. Next fleet project will be the Embraer 145.

Here's the latest out of the paint shop. The "John Deere" paint scheme with a nice cream colored top. I think I will do two more paint schemes to give an even dozen of the little CRJ's

Awesome collection, Knife! I was very plesaed to build the one from British Airways, and I bet you had lots of fun building all of these.

Now question:

Can you please share your technique to make the models so shiny? If you can, please upload a photo of how you do it.
Where can I get the runway patters that you used?
Thank you!

Did I miss the Beechcraft coming in to land?

No Murph, Beeches are on the way. I want to build up a full size model of each to make sure the markings scale up properly. I've only built the scaled down models (1/72 scale) and small scales can hide many errors that are magnified when enlarged. Plus, been busy with these CRJ repaints and work. I will try to get the final versions to you by the time your ATR 72 is ready (hint hint).

For Milenio3, the shiny finish is two or three layers of Krylon triple-thick crystal clear glaze, found in the spray paint section of Walmart. Just don't spay it during damp weather because it will fog. Shouldn't be too much of a problem in San Antonio.

The bases are screen captures from Google Earth of various airport aprons. I print the images out on a 5 x 5 grid of letter size cardstock.

By the way, I like your homepage. For others, check it out here: PaperJerry Modelismo a Escala en Papel (http://paperjerry.blogspot.com/)

Sure would be nice if you and Sumato could work out a way for these to be offered on his site (or eCardmodels.)

Yep, just waiting for Sumato to get back from his modeling break. They are his for the asking.

And here are the final paint schemes. Still need to finish up the engines and landing gears. I will post a group photo once I get these two finished up. I think I can now officially build CRJ 200 models in my sleep.

I'm now finishing the designs on the EMB 145, with a little Fokker in the sidelines. EMB 145 will be done in four different paint schemes, US Airways Express, United Express, Delta Connection, and "Casper".

Has anybody noticed the hidden trend in this thread?

What would happen if I... say...emailed you a blank copy of an ATR 72?

Knife

It would probably come back red and blue. And it would blend in with my upcoming DHC-8 Dash 8's

Here's the finished United Connection model.

Sorry for the late response... and Thank You for your explanation and promotion of my blog (which I'll try to update more).

Clever move on the Google earth captures!!

And very nice recolor of the EMB-145.

Oops, make that United Express version.

The final CRJ200 has left the shop, the US Airways version. That makes an even dozen aircraft. But as one door closes (Bombardier), another door opens (Fokker). Time to get back to the design board for the next model. :)

I might have to turn you loose on the ATR's.

Knife

Well, if SOMEONE would take over my next design project, the DHC Dash 8, I would probably have time to work the ATR's.

Ooh, no landing gear bulge. I could probably be talked into it.

I'd toss in four Beechcraft repaints to sweeten the deal.

Did you know the Dash 8 comes in ORANGE?
I bet NASA had a few, probably gave them to the Coast Guard when they were done with them.

Oh, yes! A Dash 8 and some interesting options besides the civilian ones ;).

Wishing a blessed Christmas and prosperous New Year for all!

I think it goes the other way. Coast Guard uses them, then gives them to NASA.
