Moving my build thread of my shipfrom Zealot as I do not want to lose it.
Mybuild the USS White River from the Otter Natter model. I have enlarged the model from about 11 inches to about 25. I will try to modify it to look as much as the WR as I can.............close but not exact. My first ship in my Navy days.

continued efforts to make the White River. Had to add space on each side for the radio/communications space, and a chart room on the top. The Otter/Natter had neither. Will have to make more changes as I go along. http://www.zealot.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=53176&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1185348813 (http://www.zealot.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=53176&d=1171846758)

I'm glad to see this thread over here. As of 1730 EDT 14 June, the photos do not show up on my computer screen, but I presume that technicality will be worked out.

I have a soft spot in my heart for your ship, Padre; especially since its photo appears in one of my books.

11 inches to 25 inches? AWWW! I would have hoped you would go the opposite direction and make it smaller! lol ...however, I see that much more detail can be observed at the larger scale. Very nice.

Splendid Padre! I love the LSM design in general.

Hey tell me how you imported your thread from the "Z" site. I'd like to salvage my 1/100 Arizona from over there as my beginnings are over there and the finish is here....

Thanks!

The pictures did not transfer, you either have to have them on your hard disk or copy and save them from there to HD to repost here. And lucky I did it, I no longer have access "over there".

The photos seem to have appeared. There are white boxes with red x's, but also the photos, so the entire build process and the terrific overhead of the model "under way" are now visible. Great model, Padre, and a great remembrance of your service aboard this fine ship.

Bravo Zulu!

Hello Padre,

nice to see a model of the Passat Verlag blown up! Congrats to your build. For me please - what is the scale?

With lovely greetings

Original from Modini is 1/250, so mine is about 1/125, detail in scaling up came out nice.

It seems I've seen this before, but regardless it's a chance to say 'nice model!' ;)

Thanks Padre,

it speaks a little for our policy to go so near to the original as it's possible .. :D our designer will be happy, when I'm told this result...
