Hi Everyone, I've been a lurker here for a while, but I thought I would start posting, with my progress on a model of the 25 pounder field gun. I have been working on it for a while and posted a few pics at "the other place". The project is still ongoing, but the light evenings and good weather tend to keep me away from the modelling.

The 3d model is designed in Blender and the textures (when I get around to them ) will probably be done in Paintshop pro. Not much seems to have happened in the last month or so, because the model needed modifying so that it would export to Pepakura. Most of that is sorted, but now the sun just keeps shining :).

This should be a great model. What scale are you planning on producing it in?

Oooh, looking forward to seeing this one make it into the real world! I'm also interested in the scale?

This is a very famous field piece. I hope you can make the model available, but in any event, I look forward to seeing it take shape.

Thanks guys. I'm planning on about 1/16th scale, which should make it about 346mm (13.5 inches) from muzzle break to the tip of the hand-spike. If it ends up tidy enough I will certainly post it in the downloads section.
