Hi boys and girls!!this is my first post here...and I thought it will be a good idea starting whit one of my firts "complicated" builds...

Like the title says, is a transformable vf-1a designed by getter1 and janx...Iīve modified the parts from the original models seen in this post http://www.papermodelers.com/forum/figurines-anime/3849-vf-1-valkyrie.html

Iīve taken parts from fighter, gerwalk and batroid mode to make it transfomable....Iīve designed some of the parts to...

Iīll let pictures talk for me....

Amazing. I can't wait for this to be finished, so I can see the final product. Looks like you took some design cues from Yamato, yes?

thatīs right schizo.....the arm and leg mechanism is from yamato toys.....but it didnīt work so well.....I couldnīt find a strong cardstock to build the pieces...and there are some parts I have to redesign, mostly the transforming parts:

chest
canopy shield

atm Iīm working on some other stuff.....so this proyect is on hold....but donīt worry...because Iīm more exited than you guys to finish this....

yeah, a lot of people are rooting for you max.

at one time i made a ojimak plane model by printing on regular paper then laminating them to plastic sheets (the same indestructible packaging material that are ubiquitous today)

the result was one nearly indestructible plane and despite being tossed from tall buildings it still has no dents or creases today

the only problems were

A. only toxic glues would stick, and you need to breath a lot of it to laminate the whole sheet

B. can't justify buying stuff just for the packaging material

but it might still work for you if you are use it for the key joints
anyway, i hope this suggestion helps

Yeah, if you use plastic like that on your swing bar, it'll hold. Also, the arm swings.

Hello Max,

I am new to the site, and I must say that I am extremely impressed. This is a very ambitious build, and your work looks great so far. Have you completed the build yet? Do you have any new postings/updates? I am considering taking on a similar build as my first project. Do you have any tips/advice?

Will you be posting templates of the final transformable figure?

Hello guys. Sorry for drop out this thread...the model wasn`t comming allong as I wanted, the hinges didn`t work very well, and I got side tracked with other proyects....as for the templates there aren`t any because all transforming parts were made along the way as I was building it. I have strong desires of resuming this proyect but atm have no spare time for it...."real life" issues you know? hope to start the new year with this, but I want to finish some models I have on the bench. If everything come along you will have news by the ends of january.

At the time I started this proyect I got in contact with Getter1 who provided a lot of help. As soon as I take up this project again and have the parts ready will send them to him for vectorized and colored.
