Email address as your username

Hi all,

I have noticed that there are some members who use their email address as their username.

I am willing to change those names in order to prevent the spam bots from taking it and sending you spam.

As a general rule of thumb, we would like to have unique names, and recommend against the use of email addresses as usernames.

Let me know if you want to change your username

Why do you say that?

it is a security layer so that the spam spiders can't harvest your email and send spam to you

Usually any email will get picked up by the search spiders
I would change your signature, if you want others to email you, add the email to your profile under contact details

I would love to have a username as an aircraft reg. number, but I do not own any aircraft. I do own some models but I would like to continue using this number plate since it's one of our biggest remainings from the UK.

Click User CP (upper left corner in the blue band) then click Settings & Options, then click Edit Signature and enter your signature in the box. Click Save and you-re done!
