Hi Everyone,

First build thread at PM!!!YAY!!! :D
Started off with this Gundam model this morning. This is way outside my normal subjects but I think I'll enjoy this one and hopefully will not lose interest halfway through :p

The model is quite detailed judging from the pics available on the instructions. Not a single part is numbered. Only snaps of the 3D model for reference but not too difficult to follow apparently.

I'm building this alongside two aircraft models as well, so I'm splitting my time. I managed to finish the head this evening. The pics are with an XActo alongside for scale. 30 more pages to go :)

Thanks for looking :)

Gundam is familiar subject to me because I would give my sons a hand with assembling its plastic model. I look forward to seeing the progress with nostalgia

Hi all,

the body is done. 3 pages of parts. Not difficult but the parts are pretty small. I actually expected to see this much bigger than it turned out to be. the body part you are looking at is approximately 5cm tall.

That's shaping up pretty good!

Are you also going to build the shield?

Nazgul
07-15-2009, 08:08 PM
It doesn't have the shield or any hand held weapons. I wish it had though....have to start work on the waist part.

The Orange

It does have the shield and the beam weapon.

How do you get this model? I saw this on one of the Korean modeling websites.

Are you sure you're not thinking of June's Model? It has the shield and beam rifle. I have One Piece's also and it didn't have either.

Great build so far Nazgul :) I was going to build this one myself but I came across a chance to get June's so I'll be doing that one instead.

Are you going to build the Ex-S Gundam by One Piece to?

The Orange

Yeah I'm sure it has it. Well... it's not included with One Piece's, but there is a shield and gun to scale with it.

It was up for download a while back but I think it has been taken down since then.

G1, where can I find June's model? I tried to find it but couldn't. If I heard right, June's have movable limbs too? If I found that one I would've picked it instead, but i'll carry on with this one for the moment.I found this via a competition thread over at Zealot a while back but never came around to build it till now.

June's is only up for purchase, I think he makes them available at conventions.

Indeed it is a sale kit sold at Wonder Fest. You can sometrimes find kits as I did through Yahooo Japan but most of the time you need to find a buyer to get it for you as most YJ auctions are not international. That can be quite expensive as the buyer has fees as well as having to ship it twice. Once from seller to him and then again from buyer to you. I do YJ only when I really really really want something and am willing to pay nearly double the value for it :P

OK folks, guess June's model is a little beyond my reach. So here's the completed waist part! It's fun little build so far! :) Nothing had me pulling my hair off my head! I guess I'll build the legs now!

Nazgul

Dang the legs are bit of a time killer! Almost all my free time over the weekend and not much to show for it. A coupla hours to go on the left (??) leg left to do. I love the little details on it though. Hopefull I'll finish it tonight!

Ok one leg done! Took me a little while than I had hoped but I like how it turned out to be. Still have one more of these to go :S

Today I've been working on the right leg. I thought I'd share some WIP pictures with you. I still have to work on it's knee and above. Maybe by tomorrow he will be standing on his own feet :)

Managed to finish the right leg much quicker and also finished the left shoulder. I'm sorry for avoiding pics of the MS being put together. Hopefully it will be a pleasant surprise to see the finished model at the end :)

Both arms completed. Well almost. I left the fists out for later. I printed out part of the backpack this morning. The backpack consists of three parts. Staring work on the first today.

Nazgul,

Lookin good :D

Sebret,

That doesn't look irrepairable. Can you glue it back together? I'ld hate to see all that work go south :(

I never repaired it, just gave it to my little bro to put to death. I always wanted to do a remake in a larger scale. so i figured it wasn't much of a loss. thanks for the compliment though.

Looking good. I admit that when I built it, i had to do some guessing work. the instructions aren't so clear in some places and the details are the wrong color at times. I hope that in the near future i can go back and redo the instructions for it.

have fun with the funnels, i found those to be the best part of the build.

Nazgul
08-23-2009, 09:03 PM
Thanks G1 and Sebret! And the Funnels were fun :) but I think I like the legs better...Lots of curves to form there LOL :) Anyways, I spent better part of my free time this weekend on this and I'm glad to report to you gents that I'm done :D This was my first model outside of something that runs on wheels and I really had fun building this little guy!

I hope you guys like it! and thanks for watching this thread!

Good day to you!

Thanks G1,Thanks for the link. That does look like an intersting model but I have no idea what it is....Anyways I have a crowded work dest at the moment. I found this cool Hazel Gundam model (1:60 I remember) And I'm drooling over this Lambo Miura model that came up recently...Haven't decided yet though..:)
