Ok folks here is my build of Clever's USS Rhode Island in 1:1700 scale.
It really is a pocket starship lol. There are a few small gaps :(

Glade to see this one! Especially at 1700th. What a little jewel. Wonderful build. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice build Sidewinder. I like it. I might do one as well. Are you starting a pocket fleet? ;)
keep up the good work.

Looks great at that scale. Is the original a Clever-standard 1:1000? The 5th page of parts looks to either be cross sections or formers. Did you use them at this scale? I'm probably not building this one yet, but figured I'd ask while the idea is fresh.

You've had a lot of build threads as of late. I'd be interested in seeing another whole-fleet shot if you get the time. Last time I saw it you had only 8 or 9 ships. I'm sure its a lot bigger by now.

Have you built Nothing's Voyager yet? Plan to? I think that's high on my To-Build list. For Trek models, it may be first or second to Ron's TOS Enterprise... or maybe Mike's repaint of it...

I dont remember exactly what the original scale was, I think somewhere in the region of 1:650 and no I didnt use the formers, I just reinforced the bottom of the primary hull with a lamination of 1mm card to keep it from potato chipping. Havent built the voyager yet but it is definately high on my to-do list as well, got Marko's 1:1700 rework printed and ready to go.
as for the whole fleet shots, ask and ye shall recieve (a few still need stands)

ok all are 1:1700 (or reasonably close lol) unless otherwise noted

Front row from left
1. My USS Xerxes, 2. SF Papercraft USS Reliant, 3. Ron Caudillo's USS Enterprise, 4. Paragon's STXI USS Enterprise (Old version), 5. Cmags' mod of SF Papercraft USS Enterprise-A, 6. Paragons USS Hood, 7. Zosho's USS Stargazer, 8. Clever's USS Rhode Island, 9. Zosho's Sabre Class, 10. Bill Perry redraw of Ninjatoes' USS Defiant, 11. My ENT Era Romulan BoP, 12. Jaybats' Klingon Raptor, 13. Alberto Alonso's Klingon BoP

Back row from left
1. Clever's USS Enterprise-B, 2. Gary Pilsworth's USS Budapest, 3. Zosho's Akira Class (Registration non-canon), 4. Domatine's Vulcan Surak Class (scale unknown), 5. Paragon's Vulcan Sh'Ran Class, 6. Bill Perry's redrawn Defiant again (original designed scale this time, is for a friend's birthday) 7. D-Whale's Klingon Vor'Cha Class

I also have Paragon's Vulcan DSRV in 1:1700 but somehow forgot to get it in the shot, was out of cubes anyway lol (Except the Z***** cube and I wouldn't inflict that on you EDIT** just noticed it is peeking around the corner in one of the shots, IM SORRY, SO SORRY :(). anyway it is still waiting for its proper stand, that of course being D-Whale's Maymora :D

Have any of you built the Equinox from Planet Star Freak? It's big, and the shapes of the pieces are odd, but the finished product isn't bad.

Nice model, Sidewinder! And that's a beautiful collection.

I'm new to this forum but have built a few papermodels over the years. I spend most of my time over at the Cartographer's Guild (http://www,cartographersguild.com/), a mapmaking forum (as you might have guessed by the name). My current project is a set of deckplans for a Nova-class ship, the USS Singularity (http://www.cartographersguild.com/showthread.php?15983-WiP-USS-Singularity-NCC-74855), but you can see some of my finished stuff here (http://www.cartographersguild.com/album.php?albumid=326).

Looking to build an Equinox as a prop for an upcoming ST game I'm running.

Is the referenced Clever model the best one out there? I found and downloaded the Planet Star Freak model pdmccool mentioned. Textures are a bit fuzzy but it looks passable. I searched the forums and download area but can't seem to find the Clever model. Would someone mind posting (or PMing) a link? Thanks!

Looking forward to participating in this forum a little.

I built the Equinox and actually used it as a base to build one from bondo and fiberglass. Nice work.

Hey Sidewinder

Very nice model collection. Do you know where I can find Alberto Alonso's Klingon BoP?

His site has not been availble for quite a while, and I can't get it to come up using the wayback machine.

Just wondering if you or anyone else knows where I can find it.

atentamente

Had to run this this through Google Translate for myself so figured I'd post it here for anyone else that doesn't habla:

i am a fan of the manufacture of paper models in the series Star Trek and Babylon 5 and agradesco much their contributions in this hobby and I have their models of Galor and Keldon maymora like the models are great but there ESCAC network of ships of the Federation are not like war cruiser he'madar or Romulan Valdore I think it would be great and would be grateful if I can guide haver if any of these models on the net

attentively

Carlos

I find it interesting that the app capitalized somewhat properly the names of fictional galactic powers. I don't know any of these ships so can't point Carlos to them...hopefully someone else can help him out!
