Ok, so there's a little bias here, ever since I rode up to the Air Force Museum as a kid and saw the XB-70 sitting out front, I've been in love with this plane. To my mind it looks like a giant white preying mantis. Even so I think by the reaction in the thread (here (http://www.papermodelers.com/forum/aviation/3566-xb-70-design-build.html)) that I won't get too many complaints about making this one POTW :D

Excellent model of one of the most amazing planes ever built. Know what you mean when you made the turn on the highway and seen it sitting in front of the museum. Glad to see its being protected from the elements now, but the impact it had out front couldn't be beat.

Another great plane from the plastic days of my youth! I built the old Aurora kit, which I just found on a website listed for $110.

Thanks everyone for your kind words. Yes, this was (is) truly an amazing aircraft. There is no better way to acquire an appreciation for any subject than to research it and then re-create it. I learned alot about Valkyrie and the XB-70 Program during this project. It's size was only matched by its accomplishments.
