...Moon Rabbit! ^^ It's the Moon Festival next Tuesday and using the momentum from my Dora, I've picked this character, Reisen Inaba, a moon rabbit from the Touhou game series. --For anyone who's about to ask "and who the hell is that":...

List of Touhou Project characters - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reisen_Udongein_Inaba#Reisen_U._Inaba)

It's the first time I try designing an existing character, but it's been a success over the past three days and now the model is already ready for unroll in Pepakura. And hopefully ready by tomorrow.

(Last picture courtsey of the original game)

Is it a coincidence that the word "Reisen" in Japanese means "Zero FIghter"?

--From my understanding of Japanese those are just coincidental... One is "铃仙" and the other is "零式". But they do sound the same ^^ (sorry to disappoint~)

Really nice design:)
BTW how tall is she? and mind telling you design it with pepakura designer?

Thanks Yu, she stands about 10.5 cm tall and that's when I printed it to 0.7 of original scale. Also I designed her with Metaseq and unrolled by Pepakura. :)

Only 10.5cm!
I thought she is taller
Ah, when you design her you make bigger and reduced size when printing
Why ask it is that I am envisioning to design small plane with standing and winking female pilot beside it

Nice idea Yu! But even for a "large", i.e. 1/33 plane you'll need a figure that is only 5cm tall, so I guess the model would have to be greatly simplified... Maybe a one piece face and torso? --I'll check the Pepakura Gallery for ideas ^^
For smaller scales like 1/48 or 1/72, the only solution might be a "flat" figure~

The airplane I am envisioning is BD-5 or Pits Special
Real plane's fuselage length of BD-5 is approx 3.6meters and Pits Special 5 meters
At 1/10 scale plane size is not big
On the other hand, figure size is about 17cm
Thats why I asked Reisen Inaba's size:)

Oh that sounds like a good size! (never expected such a small plane...) So are you going to model the figure yourself, or find some kit for it?

Thanks Lex
I have Rokkakudaio.
Although I haven't made complete kit using that software, I want to try.
But, I am not sure I can make it because I think I have no designing talent:(
