Is there a paper model of Buck Rogers "Ranger 3" from the TV Series? I've looked around the web for quite a while and haven't found anything that looks like it. I've been hunting for Hellboy's "Big Baby", since someone mentioned seeing a paper model but no luck finding it either.

If you mean the ship he flew with the two pointy things on the front, (guns?) yes there is (or was) one floating around. I'll look to see if I have it, if I do I'll PM you with the details.

Ranger 3 was the antique Space Shuttle type craft that he originally left earth for a deep space mission and was frozen in until he was awakened in the 25th Century.

Clif52,

I have looked for it but I could not find it.
You might want to scratch build it, using the original space shuttle as a guild.
As for the Starfighter, here is the link for it. Buck Rogers Thunderfighter - Modellbaubogen (http://www.paperaviation.de/Thunderfighter/thunderfighter.html).

I built the model myself, it is a nice model, but the instructions are not that good, so you will have to really know what you are doing, but other then that, like I said it is a good model.
Good luck with the other one.

Thanks Rhaven Blaack

I'll keep looking for reference materials. I think there is a resin or plastic version of the ship. I've got the series on DVD but I haven't figured out how to do screen captures on the Macintosh yet. Guess I'll have to ask at the Apple store. The normal screen capture is blocked during DVD playback.

Here are some screan shots that I found from
[Buck Rogers "Ranger 3" Deep Space Probe (http://www.fantastic-plastic.com/Ranger%203%20Page.htm)
I hope they will help you out with a scratch build.
By the way, here is a link to the space shuttles paper model web site. the models are free down load (I have them all for future builds :) ).

Good luck with it.

I mat be misremembering, but the Ranger 3 looks an awful lot like the Soviet "Spiral" spaceplane design.

Clif52,

Glad I could help. Good luck with it, it you decide to scratch build it. I would like to see it once it is done. A build thread would be cool to see.
Once again, good luck.

Thanks for the link. Thats another one I haven't seen. I've had to stop working on my research to work on several projects for pay due Christmas. I'll try to get back to it after the holidays.

Clif52,
How is the Ranger 3 coming along?
Were you able to find all of the reference material that you need to make the model?
Do you have any photos of your progress?
