This is my start at the church that sits at the end of main street in South Dakota's Own 1880 Town. It was moved to the tourist attraction from some prairie town and restored. It is a start, and the kit will be available in RR scales. I still have a lot to learn about buildings!

OK, got the model done, and it will be up in the downloads soon. This is the first in my old west series, and it will be in the free downloads section as soon as I get the final details done. I am working on an 1880s hotel and dry goods store, as well as the Gregory, SD old Bank and an 1880s jail. All of my buildings in the Old West series are from South Dakota or the earlier Dakota Territory. The scale is 1/87. I hope to put the other models up at Ecardmodels.com (http://www.ecardmodels.com) as they are going to be a bit more detailed. In the mean time enjoy this great church model.

Thank you very much! My father in law is going to LOVE this! Rustic churches are his favorite as he is a minister.

hi CT
this is how my 2:nd attempt at buildings came out

few thoughts: the roof part that looks like an overview and the frontpart (the "complete" one) - what are they for?
you could update the kit with extra staircases, as it is small i had problems getting it right
likewise with the bottom part of the roof, as it is so small it is easy to do a wrong cut
i printed a new page just to redo that part, but did not do it for the stair (which you can see below)

tip: make the frontpage in neutral white background, it uses up a lot of ink/toner if you (like i) print it as a reference

other than that it was a nice model to do, not too many parts allthough some of them are small it goes pretty fast, thinking of adding the opts for a more 3d look as well as the lamp

nice one CT, my thumbs are all up :D

Wow...that looks great. thank you. I am working on other models from the same town and I will take your advice. The less ink thing is a good idea and I will provide actual instruction too. This one had no instructions so you did an out standing job! I love it. I will let you know when I get the Portrait Studio done, the next one I am working on, then the bank.
Thanks for the pictures!
