at http://fk.konradus.com/modele/modele.php there are a 1/33 Yokosuka D4Y2 Judy and a Roman landing boat at the bottom of the page.

Cheers,
Richard

Pretty cool site! A lot of tracks available for us armor folks!

The Roman landing boat is actually a joke since it's based on Asterix series :D

Yokosuka Judy was going to be issued through GreMir but designer decided otherwise.
I did construction report on it on cm site but did not continue past the fuselage due to lack of time and lost contact with the designer.

Thanks for bringing the site to our attention, Richard, and thanks for the clarification, Mike. Of course, it's nice to have such models as the Asterix landing boat. They have their place, too.

That site has a number of 1/200 USN aircraft that I have downloaded and printed out and stared at in consternation, wishing I had the skill at little models that some members of the Forum have.

Of course they have a place - I meant "joke" in a good sense.
I apologize if I gave an impression that would suggest otherwise...

Thanks - that Judy looks to have a very nice weathering pattern, that's another one to add to the growing build list ;)

Here's a discussion thread about this Judy model, including some input from the designer. He's uploaded build diagrams with English instructions to a photobucket with account name given in the thread (Piplek).

Richard - many thanks for the original tip to this model. Like Dan mentioned above, the designer has now joined a discussion about it over at Kartonbau.de (http://www.kartonbau.de/wbb2/thread.php?postid=199183#post199183) (so far all in English), and has kindly provided a translation to his instruction sheets (new captions to the sketches), plus a couple of new photo-based instruction sheets, and several photos of the finished model, like the one Dan published above. Here's the direct link to a page where you can download the new instruction sheets (jpg-files):

This was a good find you brought, and it's a pleasure to welcome you aboard!

Unfortunately, this model doesn't seem to want to download onto a Mac, at least not mine.:( I looks like a wonderful model, though!

That's odd. would you like it emailed to see if it acts differently?

I would appreciate the effort!

Richard -- Thanks for starting this thread. Not only did you make us aware of an interesting model, but the discussion led me to Leif Ohlsson's excellent Kartonbau threads on building small (1/87), ethical considerations in model selection, and other intriguing topics. Don B.

Leif Ohlson is enlarging this model to 1/16 and including the DB601 engine modified to allow it to fit in this model. The new kit will be available as a download at kartonbaue.de. Looks pretty interesting, especially for those of you who like upscaling stuff already ;)
