Hello!
I would like to invite you to the report from designing of my new project. This time the British fighter from II W.W. Westland Whirlwind. About this aircraft you can read here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westland_Whirlwind_(fighter)).

At the beginning traditional I start from designing of the fuselage.

Best regards.

the model you are depicting belonged to the 263 squadron around mid 1941 - 42

this is their crest....

Hello!
Don: I didn`t know. I am glad that I came to your style. Hm... telepathy? :)
flying rasta: Thank you! When I was prepare to design I found this painting and emblem of this squadron.
I want to do a model in this painting: "Dieppe raid", August 1942 (http://modelingmadness.com/reviews/allies/gb/cleaverwhirl.htm). I hope you'll like it.

In the model I added vertical and horizontal rudders.

Best regards.

P.S.:So the report was not too boring I thought to myself that I would submit to you the song, which I listen to while designing. May I? Yes, yes, please, please! :D ;)
Ok, because I'm doing a British aircraft, on the beginning of British song: Lucretia (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IuezNswtRfo). I hope you will like it. Happy listening. :)

Looking very nice indeed, another of my favourites since I was very young and bought the old Airfix kit.I have several signatures of Whirlwind pilots on a print I bought of her so it will be a joy to see such a well designed model of their mount.

Hello!
Gixergs and peter taft: thank you. :)
I tried to make the cockpit as well. A few things because of the scale I had omitted, but the documentation is a lot and everyone will be able to add a few more items.

Next step is the armament and the next part of the wings.

Best regards.
