View Full Version : FGMM Wedell-Williams #121
This in another of Roscoe Turner's racers, this time from 1932. If you're building this one test fit the fuselage carefully before you glue. I ended up with a gap of about 2mm behind the cockpit and had to reprint the fuse and cut strips to cover the gap. Otherwise everything worked as advertised. The cartoon of Roscoe is from the FG Lockheed Explorer. The rigging is not 100% accurate but it gives a good feeling for the real thing.
Wayne
You did justice to this fine little airplane, Wayne. Colorful plane and colorful pilot, for sure.
Nice to see Gilmore and Roscoe together, too. Reminded me of a tour I had of the Garber/Silver Hill facility some years ago and saw "him" on display in the shop at the time. . .he was looking kinda mangy then (Gilmore, not Roscoe).

Great build. Very attractive.
Very nice looking plane. I really like those 1930's style planes with their colorful schemes.

Beauty, Wayne! Keep on building those Golden Age aircraft. I can't get enough of them!

I always trust a man who likes dogs. Roscoe Turner was an amazing individual. Love the model.

Very nice, clean build. You'd never know that a patch was added behind the cockpit. Great job!
