I am continuing to thin my collection of printed format models. Rather than take up space here I have posted the listing at www.oldtroll.com

Thanks for your assistance in reducing my backlog.

Ron, your list overlaps too much with my own for me to buy more. You've got good taste, I guess. I hope that you aren't giving up on modeling. (?) Weze likes ya around here too much.

LOL - No, Carl, I'm not giving it up - but even I have to do the math every so often and I compute that I have so many models that I'd have to outlive my children to build them all. It's better that some of you guys get your hands on them. That way I might get to see your build threads! I still have enough Gremir, Dr. Z, Roman, Marek, Walden, Currell, NOBI and a host of other electronic format models to keep me and another generation going. Besides, If I gave up paper modeling I wouldn't get to watch you designing and building those funny-looking French ships - oops, I mean "navire de guerre Francais"!

Good man there! I reckon my model kit collection by the size of the piles. I think that I have around 2 feet of kits to get to. Designing my own really impacts my effect on this mass!

You had to put all these up the day after I spent my model budget for the first quarter of 2008, didn't you ;)

Unfortunately I don't think I'm going to convince the wife I need any more models right now - so I won't be partaking, as much as I'd like to.

People,
He is practically giving them away - GO GET THEM BEFORE THEY ARE GONE!!!!

Ron,
I went through thinning my collection twice already for the same reason - I would need three lifetimes to build them all... Hope medicine does real progress and we do get to live about 200 years :D

How are the quality of the Answer kits? Have you built any? I bought the Gendreau and am looking at the Akizuki.

Ok - you're killing me. I think I'm gonna have to knock off a 7-11* on my way home now

Newspaper headline: Crazed paper modeler, trying to feed his habit, captured during attempted convenience store heist -- would have escaped, but paused in mid-flight after noticing a stack of 67-pound paper stacked next to a display of white glue. Was sitting on the floor, building a Roland Wahlfisch, when the police arrived.

ROFLMAOWMP - I want a Wahlfisch too!!!

BTW - I have added the recent Mały Modelarz models to the list (2001 and newer). These are all excellent models and done to today's standards.

The MM Fokker Dr.1 is nice.
I finished it in less than a week, and it's one of my favourites.

Nice build Kuba.

People have been asking, "What else are you going to put up for sale?" Just so everyone is on the same frequency, here's my current (flexible) plan...

Large (A3) format aircraft - mostly Fly/Gomix and GPM - should be up by Friday
Ships of all publishers that do not make my "must build" list. There will be some pretty desirable (and pricey) items here - probably by Saturday nite or Sunday
I will then do a complete rescan of everything I have left and weed out some final candidates. That should be done by the 15-16th at the latest.

I am willing to reserve items for people so we can consolidate shipments and save a little postage. Please be aware that if I reserve it, I consider it sold. Please do not have me reserve "wish lists" that get greatly reduced when it comes time to pay. I know the temptation I am placing in front of you but let's all stay within our budgets and listen to our wives/sweethearts when it comes to indulging our hobby. LOL - I can't believe I typed that with a straight face!!! Mortgage your house, sell your car, have your wife get a third job !!! Just please, please buy my stuff! <desperate tears roll down my cheek> I do not condone the robbing of any retail establishment, however!

Apparently the server hosting www.oldtroll.com is having some issues - I apologize for the inconvenience and have a team of specialists investigating.

UPDATE - www.oldtroll.com is back up.

Likely the price reductions sold! :)

Hey old troll - when you add new items can you highlight them to make them obvious? :)
Thanks!

Let's see - first the price reductions - after that was old news I changed the color back to black.

New listings being highlighted - well, my marketing person says not to so you have to look throught the whole list but my customer relations person says I should do it to speed up your search and reduce bandwith loading. What to do? What to do?

Customer relations wins! There are a large number of new items listed and I will probably add a few more by Monday. After the contest entry deadline passes (1/31) I will probably be pulling things off and listing them for sale on eBay. Thanks again to all who have helped me free up storage space!

I think I have just done the FINAL update to the list - added more ships.

Ron -- Many thanks to you for making these terrific models available at very reasonable prices and for instigating the contest, which has led to so much model building, exchange of information, and some very interesting discussion. Don

SALE EXTENDED UNTIL FRIDAY!!!

I have slashed prices even further on many big items and added four highly desirable BIG aircraft - the B-1B, the Fiddler, the Backfire and the Blackjack. Your wives/sweethearts will probably forgive you eventually so go for it while prices are unbelievably low!
