Here is my representation of the old Nijo train station from the Western JR site. Going on a vacation to Denmark doesn't stop me from making models!

Nijo Station (slideshow) (http://www.flickr.com/photos/legion_n15/sets/72157624526679809/show/)

Built it at aprox half size and came out beautiful.

Here are some pictures of where i went yesterday: Mons Klint (slideshow) (http://www.flickr.com/photos/legion_n15/sets/72157624651473904/show/)

Wow! That's a nice railroad station! Good, clean build, and looks absolutely great at half size!

And the pictures of Mons Klint are beautiful. Thanks for sharing them. I'll need to do some research now; I had never heard of the place.

You are skilled as both an model builder and a photographer. Thanks for the post.

Impressive model, Legion. Photographic work looks professional as well.

You didn't put in a link to the website:

Very nice build, one thing how are you going to get that home.

I love the pictures of the woods the second one was very nice reminded me of home really the way the trees were bent

This is just 1 part of the stairs down to sea level, grand total of 484 steps in all. Going down isn't hard, going UP is... The stairs in the second photo are the 'easier' ones. But we took a different and way less crowded route.

I'm still learning how to take better pictures though.

For those who plan on building the station, keep in mind that the walls need some support otherwise they sag inwards a bit.

Very nice build, one thing how are you going to get that home.

Either leave it, or put it in the car in the area behind the rear seats.

Hi, went to the JR West website and the old Nijo Station is not there for download anymore... is there anywhere else I can find it?

I don't have it anymore (lost in a pc crash/change long ago). But I remember that someone else was looking for it and found it. And posted about it, so you might be lucky if you can find that thread.

They were able to get to the download page with Wayback Machine, but alas, the downloads were unavailable...

Thank you for sharing, I am enjoying the pictures

amazing, Japanese always can create something nice, I use to remember they have a motorcycle with so many parts that's free and so difficult to build.

At ƒyーƒpーƒNƒ‰ƒtƒg:JR西“–{ (http://www.westjr.co.jp/fan/paper/) there used to be a LOT more of the infrastructure models, including a bridge, engine shed,
120966
large station building,
120967
and tunnel
120968
I got them ages ago but don't know why you can't get them now.
