Hi all,
Some of you know, and probably are sick of it, hearing me talking about Dakar, but I have to share these two gloats.
First one,
One of the Dutch Dakar car teams, Bison Rally Team, has a paper model of their race car, and this kit was given away for free during the Dakar showcase they put on each year at an off road course in the Netherlands.
They also send the kit to those who email them with the request for the kit, well, I just did that, and low and behold, yesterday's mail, I find an envelop with 5 copies of the kit inside, and a note thanking me for requesting it, and hope that I have fun with it.

The Second One,
I was able to score a pretty rare, at least I consider it rare, model of the Peugeot 405 Dakar racer.
I was able to get one early last year, around the end of the Dakar then.
So this year, even with the event cancelled I went looking through all of the offerings on ebay.
While in the International section, I came across another copy of the model, promptly put a bid on it
I was able to buy the first copy for about 13 bucks, this time around, I spent the grand total of $3.50.
