Yes, Nagoya Castle was one of three castles used in the filming of RAN; Himeji Castle (the training castle in the Bond film You Only Live Twice), Kumamoto Castle, and Nagoya Castle.
Nagoya Castle has also been used (i.e, destroyed) in several giant monster movies.
